The primary objective of the Center is to provide independent,
timely analysis of natural resource issues, options, and programs
facing citizens, business interests, and policy makers, including
the economic, environmental, and social impacts of environmental
problems and current and proposed policies. While research conducted
by Center personnel often is focused on Tennessee, the issues
addressed by the research efforts are regional or national in
scope. The initial research efforts, for example, address land
use change, water quality, and economic development –
all significant natural resources issues throughout the Southeast. |
